My day in Arizona Bay
Today I had to teach myself again that whenever one has been down and tries to fill the void inside with substance, materials, or any other temporary substitute, lose yourself. There are a number of ways for any one to do so, this afternoon I chose a walk with my camera. Even though I’ve locked myself inside my darkroom for the past month straight, I thought photography was doing all it was going to. I was very wrong… Nothing knows how to lift spirits like nature.
Maybe I was taking the solitude of Rosenort for granted already.
“Just as the microscope and the telescope seek a still closer look at universe, photographers must seek to penetrate deeper and closer in to our brothers”
- Edward Steichen in a letter to Robert Frank. 1952
Blakroc
Nov. 27th, The Black Keys release they’re side project Blakroc, a collaboration with some of hip hop’s most acclaimed artists. I firmly believe it’ll make my top 3 albums of the year.
Here’s a track from the album featuring Mos Def and Jim Jones
Phelps?
I got this in the mail last friday. Another to add to the collection.

Also, myself and friend Tyler went to local dog trainer/boarder Sean Diamond’s residence to watch 3 of his dogs swim in his pond. He constructed a pulley system across the water with chains coming off the rope connecting to the dogs leashes. We were told that 1 minute of treading water was equivalent to 4 miles of running. Needless to say, I’m no longer impressed with Michael Phelps…
